Kenneth Burdick
Ken is a seasoned public company executive with extensive healthcare experience. Before joining LifeStance, Ken served as the Executive Vice President of Markets and Products at Centene Corporation (NYSE: CNC), a managed care organization committed to helping people live healthier lives by providing access to high-quality healthcare. Previously, Ken was the Chief Executive Officer of WellCare Health Plans, Inc., where he led the company in its mission to provide quality, cost-effective healthcare solutions for its members, providers and government customers. Earlier in his tenure at WellCare, Ken held the role of President, National Health Plans, before being elevated to President and Chief Operating Officer.
Prior to joining WellCare, Ken served as president and CEO of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota; CEO of Coventry Health Care’s Medicaid Division; and CEO of MHNet, a Coventry behavioral health business unit. Ken also spent 14 years as an executive with UnitedHealth Group, rising through positions of increasing responsibility including Senior Vice President, national underwriting; CEO of UnitedHealthcare; and CEO of the company’s Secure Horizon retail Medicare business.
Throughout his career, Ken has served on a number of non-profit boards, including the board of directors of the United Way in both Minneapolis and Phoenix. Ken currently serves on several healthcare company boards and just completed a four-year term as national Board Chair for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. Ken holds a bachelor’s degree in American Studies from Amherst College and a law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law.

Dave brings over two decades of experience in the healthcare and mental health industries to LifeStance, where he has served as our Chief Executive Officer since March of 2025. He joined the organization in 2022 as Chief Financial Officer. Previously, he served as CFO of Magellan Health, a leader in behavioral health and pharmacy management. Prior to Magellan, he held multiple roles at Cigna, including CFO of Cigna’s U.S. and international healthcare business units. Dave started his career with the U.S. Coast Guard and brings a long track record of building strong relationships and effective, cohesive teams. Dave holds a Bachelor of Science from the United States Coast Guard Academy and an MBA from the University of Maryland, Robert H. Smith School of Business.

Mr. Palmer previously served in various leadership roles at The Cigna Group from April 2012 through March 2025, including as Executive Vice President for Enterprise Strategy for The Cigna Group from January 2024 until March 2025 and President and Chief Executive Officer of Evernorth Health Services from January 2022 until March 2025, President and Chief Operating Officer from January 2021 until December 2021, and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from June 2017 to January 2021. Mr. Palmer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in actuarial science from the University of Iowa.

Sarah Personette
Sarah Personette is the CEO of Puck News. She is the former Chief Customer Officer of Twitter. Most recently, she was Vice President of Twitter Global Client Solutions, where she led Twitter’s partnerships with top marketers and agencies worldwide. Sarah oversaw a team of regional business leaders as well as Twitter’s global teams focused on client partnerships, agencies, and brand strategy. Previously Sarah was the Chief Operating Officer of Refinery29, where she oversaw business strategy and development, customer revenue, business marketing, growth and analytics, creative services, and research. Prior, she served as the Vice President of Facebook’s Global Business Marketing team from 2014 through 2017, responsible for providing their customers with innovative and effective marketing solutions for their businesses. Sarah also built and led Facebook’s Global Agency Team. In addition, she was the US President of Universal McCann Worldwide, Inc. and Senior Vice President at Starcom Mediavest Group. Since 2016, she serves as a corporate director for Build-A-Bear Workshop (BBW), a publicly traded small cap specialty retail company. In her philanthropic work, she is a director of Northwestern University’s Alumnae Board, President Elect Of NYWICI, She Runs It, and the Reisenbach Foundation. Sarah received the 2016 Next Generation of Women in Communications from NYWICI and was inducted into the American Advertising Federation’s Advertising Hall of Achievement in 2015. In 2014, she was named one of Advertising Age magazine’s top “40 Under 40” marketing stars. She holds a degree from Northwestern University.

Eric Shuey
Eric Shuey has served on our Board of Directors since 2018. Mr. Shuey is an Advisory Partner at Summit Partners where he focuses on the health care sector. Mr. Shuey also serves on the boards of Genea, Sound Physicians and US Renal Care. Prior to Summit Partners, Mr. Shuey was a Senior Advisor and Partner at Revelstoke Capital Partners from 2017 to 2025. Prior to Revelstoke, he was a co-founder and served as the President of Liberty Health Partners which was merged with Remedy Partners. In addition, he served as a senior Corporate Development executive for Fresenius Medical Care North America from 2012 until 2017, and Chief Financial Officer of Liberty Dialysis LLC from 2006 until 2012. Prior to joining Liberty Dialysis, he served as a Director at DB Capital Partners, the private equity arm of Deutsche Bank, and a Principal at Aurora Capital Group. Mr. Shuey earned an MBA from the Wharton School of Business. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Fullerton.
